The station wagon from the Samura Damascus collection, the most popular in the premium segment, is made of multi-layer Damascus steel of the V-Gold10 brand. The cutting edge is brought to razor sharpness on water stones with a grit of 5000 grit and hardened to a hardness of 61 HRC, has a minimum angle of convergence and does not lose shape for many months and does not require sharpening, even with the active use of a kitchen knife. It is extremely hard and thin, yet strong and not brittle. Food does not stick to the blade, it easily cuts through the fibers with almost no effort on the part of the cook. The Samura knife does not oxidize upon contact with sour fruits, household chemicals. It is not subject to rust and is moderately flexible due to the fact that the high-carbon core is lined with 67 layers of stacked steel with the addition of molybdenum, vanadium and other components.
