The replacement Frying Pan handle is suitable for the old style Frying Pans, even those with wooden handles.

Please note that if saucepan handles are wooden and have been damaged by a burn or have split, water may have got through to the rod that runs through the handle and caused it to rust and corrode. If you need to use force to remove the hanging hoops, the rod may snap and in that instance, unfortunately, the damage would be irreparable.

As such, we would not recommend forcing the hanging hoops which unscrew anti-clockwise to remove the handle and advise that you contact Le Creuset Customer Service team should you have any queries on the above.
